Groundwater Monitoring and Remediation

ETS has conducted groundwater monitoring and remediation activities at a former dry-cleaner site in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The remediation effort has consisted of a series of chemical injections to treat the groundwater plume.  The first stage of the injection created barriers and gates to control the down-gradient migration of the plume.  The second stage targeted remaining hot spots on the subject property.  The injections consisted of multiple phased products designed to inoculate the groundwater plume with Dehalococcoides, a bacterium that readily consumes dry-cleaning solvents and their breakdown products.
